Being a family with a child with additional needs can be very isolating. It is maybe impossible to avail of places that ‘other’ families can experience during weekends and school holidays. We have created our family sessions with this in mind. Families attending can avail of inside and outside play areas, two activity rooms, a sensory room, and an acre of safe enclosed garden Our family sessions are held once a month on a Sunday, between the times of 11-12. Families can come and use our fabulous space and resources, as well as meet our staff and other families. This connection with other families on the same journey and being able to relax with your child in safe, need specific and non-judgemental space is so important. We limit the number of families so that the environment does not become overwhelming for our children. We change £10 per family for a 1 hour session, which covers staff wages, and money towards our heating and electricity. Any extra money is donated to our mini bus fundraiser.
