Early Intervention Pre Pre-School Programme Commencing September 2024

Updated: Sep 16, 2024

We are excited to announce the launch of SEN Space’s Early Intervention Pre Pre-School Programme this September 2024. Designed for children aged 2-3 years who have additional needs or are awaiting diagnosis, this programme offers a nurturing and supportive environment tailored to help young learners thrive.

Who is it for?

This programme is specifically created for children aged 2-3 years who have Special Educational Needs or are awaiting a diagnosis. Our goal is to offer a joyful, play-based environment where children are encouraged to explore, develop, and grow at their own pace.

How long will it last?

The programme runs three mornings a week, with each session lasting 1 hour and 50 minutes. Children will be supported by a highly skilled team, led by an early years specialist with a Master’s degree in Play Therapy and over ten years of experience working with children with additional needs.

Ways to Pay

Parents can fund their child’s place in the programme through several options, ensuring affordability and accessibility:

  • Funded via Direct Payments

  • Child Care Vouchers

  • Working Tax Credits

  • Universal Credits

We are committed to creating a secure and nurturing environment where every child can realise their full potential. Our Early Intervention Programme focuses on key developmental areas, ensuring a holistic approach to learning:

  • Physical Skills: Strengthening both gross and fine motor skills.

  • Cognitive Skills: Supporting critical thinking, learning, and problem-solving.

  • Communication Skills: Developing language and communication using PECs, Makaton, and encouraging essential skills such as requesting and following directions.

  • Self-Help Skills: Promoting independence in tasks such as eating and dressing.

  • Social and Emotional Skills: Helping children with play, interaction, emotional regulation, and expression.

  • Sensory Processing Skills: Supporting sensory system development and self-regulation.

Evidence-Based Approaches

Our dedicated staff utilise a variety of evidence-based strategies, including Attention Autism, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECs), Makaton, and Tac Pac, ensuring that each child’s individual learning and communication needs are met. Our sessions are tailored to the specific interests, strengths, and abilities of each child, creating a fun and stimulating environment for learning.

Expert-Led Programme

Our programme is led by a qualified Play Therapist and early years specialist, ensuring that every child receives the highest quality of care and support. With ten years of experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs, our team is dedicated to helping every child thrive in a nurturing and supportive environment.

At SEN Space, we believe in supporting not just the child but the entire family. We offer a range of services to ensure every family feels supported. Our multi-disciplinary approach includes input from an on-site Occupational Therapist who works alongside our staff to ensure that children receive the best possible care. Our diverse team, with backgrounds in social work, developmental psychology, primary teaching, and play therapy, is dedicated to the well-being of every child in our care.
